Training in dance & theatrical arts from a young age, Diamond has been carving her niche in the professional art world since her move to Vancouver in 2010. She started at Langara College studying acting, and swiftly moved to booking gigs in nightclubs as a solo & collaborative performance artist. She began working as a model & fashion stylist during these early years as well and found her personal style & experimental aesthetic gained favourable attention & multiple publications.
From here she moved to choreographing multi-cast showcases which featured her own unique & opulent fashion & wig designs. In 2015 she launched a photography studio project within the rental costume house she was managing where she styled & shot avant-garde portraits of her fellow performer colleagues as well as a collection of highly stylized self-portraits.
Diamond now features 5 years of union level film costuming experience on her CV and has opened her own couture costume studio ‘House of Regalia.’ Throughout the pandemic she started to seriously explore an overlooked artistic drive to create short films & is currently dedicated to wrapping projects she began shooting during those years.
Danielle is also working on a solo exhibition in a new experimental style combining dance, movement, spoken word & songwriting. She hopes to be sharing this work with the public before the clock strikes midnight on December 31st, 2022.
